2nd Annual National Robotics Week Event
Sunday, April 14, 2013 | 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. | Stepan Center
You’ve probably heard of R2D2 and C-3PO, the robots from “Star Wars,” or the Transformers, an alien robotic race featured in another movie. But robots are so much more than what you see on the big screen.
Join us on Sunday, April 14, from 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at the Stepan Center to celebrate National Robotics Week and learn more about the fantastic things that robots can do.
Meet a robot that can tell jokes, and another that can read your emotions. Watch robots that can fly all by themselves and ones that can dance. Play an Angry Birds robot game, experience an invisible musical instrument, and have your heart rate read by a webcam. Learn about robots being used in medicine and rehabilitation, and talk to the students and faculty who are helping make it all happen!
The event is free and open to the public.
