Tracy Kijewski-Correa

Dr. Kijewski-Correa received her Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate degrees from the University of Notre Dame in ’97, ’00, ’03 respectively.  Her research is focused on the use of advanced technologies to conduct assessments of performance and underlying damage in full-scale structures. She has also been involved in field documentation of failures due to natural disasters, specifically the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami and the 2010 Haiti Earthquake. This has given her experience not only in documenting failures but also in proposing alternative structural designs set within the cultural context of the communities impacted to maximize their benefit.
