In June 2012 leading world-class conferences in the field of manufacturing will be collocated to better serve the needs of the manufacturing research community. In addition, a leading society in the field of tribology will be participating in this event. These collocated conferences will be hosted by the University of Notre Dame from June 4 to June 8, in Notre Dame, Indiana, U.S.A. The participating conferences are:
ASME 2012 International Manufacturing Science and Engineering Conference (MSEC2012) sponsored by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
40th Annual North American Manufacturing Research Conference (NAMRC40) sponsored by the North American Manufacturing Institution of the Society of Manufacturing Engineers (NAMRI/SME)
2012 5th International Conference on Tribology in Manufacturing Processes (ICTMP5) sponsored by the International Tribology in Manufacturing Research Group
Join more 400 researchers and manufacturers from around the world to learn the latest developments in manufacturing materials, material processing, and manufacturing systems including:
■ New alloys, composites and foams for aerospace, automotive and biomedical applications, and material processing research for these materials including high speed machining, electrically-assisted forming, and other non-traditional machining methods;
■ New micro and nanomanufacturing technologies for emerging clean energy, health care, and nanotechnology markets such as ultra-precision milling and forming; chemical mechanical planarization; micro-scale molding, joining, assembly; and material handling;
■ Medical product manufacture, including the latest advances in orthopedic engineering.
The highly interactive format of the conference encourages the exploration of collaborative research and technology transfer and promotes professional networking.
All accepted papers will be published in strictly peer-reviewed volumes offering wide-reaching access and impact to your research. Visit the Web site for more information on submitting papers to the individual conferences.
A spouse’s program including tours of the South Bend Chocolate Company, the Studebaker Museum, and the Amish Markets of Shipshewana is planned.
Come attend NAMRC/MSEC/ICTMP, mingle with colleagues and enjoy Hoosier hospitality.
