Tahsin is working on chip-to-chip optical integration for developing a mid-IR on-chip optical sensing system.

Tahsin is from Bangladesh. He did his undergrad in Electrical Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Tahsin joined University of Notre Dame in Summer 2011 as a PhD student. He is currently working in the Biomedical Photonics Lab with Dr. Scott Howard.
Tahsin won SPIE officer travel grant to join SPIE Optics+Photonics conference in August 2013.
