Biography
Dr. Wagner directs the Soft Tissue Research Laboratory (STRLab) in the Multidisciplinary Research Building. Her research focuses in two main areas: bone and cartilage tissue engineering using adult stem cells, and soft tissue mechanics and damage behavior. These projects leverage principles of engineering and the life sciences to better understand degeneration processes and to develop new techniques to repair damaged tissue. Dr. Wagner's research is multidisciplinary and includes undergraduate and graduate students and postdoctoral researchers from bioengineering, mechanical engineering and biology programs.
