Program Overview

The Integrated Engineering and Business Practices Program is a two-course sequence designed to help engineering students develop an understanding of the dynamics of corporate operations that will make them more effective in the workplace, better preparing them for managerial or technical leadership roles in the corporate environment.  It provides the foundation for a fast start as you begin your engineering career.

During the course of the program, students will acquire a working knowledge of the fundamental processes of business, gain an appreciation of the various functional areas of a corporation, establish an ethical perspective of the role of engineering in business, and begin to build the interpersonal, team, and managerial skills required to make significant contributions to a business enterprise.

Both courses examine the latest trends in corporate competitiveness. Both courses also feature guest speakers, many of whom are engineers working as managers in high-level corporate positions.
