Program Description
In this 3-week, 3 credit program, you will study in Auckland, New Zealand. In addition to your class, you’ll participate in regional outings and learn about indigenous New Zealand culture through day trips to historical sites. Past trips have included exploring the natural beauty of New Zealand’s West Coast, Waiheke Island, and Rotorua.

The 2021 program will be led by Eugenio Acosta in partnership with faculty from Auckland University of Technology.
This program is open to all undergraduates in the College of Engineering.
Course
All students enroll in a 3 credit engineering course.

Housing
Students live in the City Lodge in Auckland. This is a modern hostel, run by the YMCA in Auckland, which provides free wifi and daily free breakfast.
Program Fee
The 2021 program fee is $4,100 – $5,000, plus a $200 ND Study Abroad fee.
The program fee includes the cost of 3 Notre Dame engineering credits; 3 week accommodations plus daily breakfast; some group meals; airport transportation; pre topped-up card for local transit; GeoBlue international health insurance; all program academic outings and field trips; and program support from Notre Dame faculty.
It does not include airfare and meals (lunch and dinners); passport/visa fees; international cell phone/plan; or personal spending money.
All students are considered for need-based engineering scholarships to help unwrite program costs.

Apply October through November 15. Program assignments and waitlist notifications occur before Christmas break.
