Cheers to Recipients of the College of Engineering Staff Excellence Awards (Fall 2024)

The Notre Dame College of Engineering is pleased to announce the fall 2024 recipients of the Staff Excellence Awards, which recognize staff members’ exemplary contributions above and beyond the scope of their standard job responsibilities.

Award recipients are honored for having a substantial positive impact on the operations of their departments, the College, and the University, helping to elevate Notre Dame Engineering as we strive to build a better world for all.

We are pleased to recognize the following fall 2024 award recipients:

Enes Aydin – Engineering Innovation Hub (EIH)

For creating an inclusive, supportive environment for students that promotes their personal growth, and for volunteering for diverse tasks such as advising the Artificial Intelligence Maritime Maneuver Indiana Collegiate Challenge (AIMM ICC) and providing invaluable help with facilities management and safety.

Clay Berkley – Engineering and Science Computing (ESC)

For providing helpful, knowledgeable, and proactive support and guidance on technical matters, and his extraordinary commitment to supporting the College through his problem-solving expertise that has enhanced operational efficiency for many colleagues within the Engineering (and Science) community.

Amber Li – Dean’s Office

For significantly contributing to the success of graduate programs by identifying outstanding applicants, offering personalized support and guidance across a variety of mediums and time zones, and fostering a welcoming environment that enhances student well-being and engagement throughout the recruitment, admissions, research and scholarship processes.

Diane Westerink – Civil and Environmental Engineering and Earth Sciences (CEEES)

For organizing meaningful academic and extracurricular opportunities for students, offering caring support and guidance, and fostering important connections between students and industry professionals.
