Sreya Banerjee

Bachelor of Technology, West Bengal University of Technology, 2010

M.S, University of Notre Dame, 2019

I am a PhD student in the CVRL group at the University of Notre Dame, supervised by Dr. Walter Scheirer. I primarily work on object detection and recognition in unconstrained environment such as aerial videos taken by UAVs and gliders. Such videos have objects in different scales and a number of imaging artifacts that make detection a lot harder. I also work on developing novel computational models of vision leveraging the use of other sensory modalities like olfaction. Previously, I worked on cell segmentation in noisy data. Before joining Notre Dame in 2015, I worked as an software engineer for Cognizant Technology Solutions in Kolkata, India, after graduating with a B.Tech degree in Information Technology from West Bengal University of Technology in 2010.
