Office: B035 Hessert Laboratory

B.S., Virginia Polytechnic Institute, 2019

Motivated by curiosity, Valerie is passionate about asking “why.” She loves exploring the underlying physics of challenging engineering problems using a combination of both experimental data and numerical models/simulations. Fascinated by fluid mechanics and dynamics, Valerie is particularly interested in fluid-structure interactions, or aeromechanics, in turbomachinery applications. She completed her bachelor’s degree in Engineering Science and Mechanics from Virginia Tech in 2019. With co-op & internship experience at Michelin, Pratt & Whitney, and Lockheed Martin, Valerie is excited to combine her theoretical background with knowledge from real-life experiences to address key research questions at the Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory.
