Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory to Partner with Doosan Heavy Industries on $2.5 Million Compressor Test Agreement
The Notre Dame Turbomachinery Laboratory at the University of Notre Dame has entered into a 19-month, $2.5-million dollar agreement with Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction Co. Ltd. to conduct compressor research and testing to support the development of a 300-megawatt class power generation gas turbine.

Pine Named 2017 Valedictorian; Suárez Selected as Salutatorian
Caleb Pine has been named valedictorian of the 2017 University of Notre Dame graduating class and will present the valedictory address during the 172nd University Commencement Ceremony on May 21 (Sunday) at Notre Dame Stadium. This year’s salutatorian is José Alberto Suárez, a computer science and engineering major.

Kareem Elected President of IAWE
Ahsan Kareem, the Robert M. Richter to Receive 2016 ONR YIP Award

Kogge Receives Gauss Award
Peter M. Kogge, who has served as the Ted H. McCourtney Professor of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Notre Dame since 1994, will be awarded the 2015 Gauss Award award as part of the International Supercomputing Conference, which runs Sunday, July 12, through Thursday, July 16, in Frankfurt, Germany.
