Notre Dame Engineering presents a screening of Engineers at Ground Zero, a documentary examining the role structural engineers played in the aftermath of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center.
The screening will be followed by a Q&A with Edward M. DePaola, PE, M.ASCE, F.SEI, a Notre Dame alumnus and structural engineer who was involved in post-9/11 engineering efforts at the World Trade Center site. DePaola is president and CEO of Severud Associates Consulting Engineers, PC, and has more than 40 years of experience in complex building design and engineering leadership.
Free and open to the public.

About the film
Engineers at Ground Zero highlights the little-known role structural engineers played following the September 11 attacks. Featuring firsthand accounts from engineers who were there, along with archival photographs and video, the film documents recovery and stabilization efforts at the World Trade Center site and explores how the events of 9/11 influenced building design and emergency response practices.
The film was produced by Vacationland in collaboration with the Structural Engineers Association of New York (SEAoNY).
