Areas of Interest
Mengxue Hou seeks to devise practical, computationally efficient, and provably-correct algorithms that prepare robotic systems to be cognizant, taskable, and adaptive, and which can collaborate with humans to co-exist in a complex, ever-changing and unknown environment.
She seeks to enable smart and autonomous robotic systems by exploring interdisciplinary research that integrates robotics, AI, machine learning, and control theory. Her research aims to answer the challenge of large-scale environmental sensing where the robots are constrained by environmental disturbances and limited computation resources.
