Areas of Interest
Tracy Kijewski-Correa’s research is dedicated to enhancing the resilience and sustainability of civil infrastructure in response to the challenges posed by increased urbanization and hazard vulnerability. Her interdisciplinary scholarship closes the gap between research and practice by conceiving holistic responses to the needs of vulnerable communities and supporting science-informed decision making by diverse stakeholders. She serves as the inaugural director of the Structural Extreme Event Reconnaissance (StEER) network, which organizes networks of engineers to assess damage after disasters globally and use this knowledge to drive recovery and future resilient construction policy and practices.
